Volunteers_Needed

We currently have Volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
Wellness/Treatment– Help with stocking, cleaning and general tasks related to the daily operations of the clinic. Volunteers will not be preforming medical treatments or handling animals directly.  
SurgeryHelp with stocking, cleaning and observation of the pets in surgery. Volunteers may be asked to interact in a limited capacity with animals. For example cleaning occupied cages.  
Customer ServiceDirecting clients to the correct department, appointment confirmations, shredding, scanning documents to client files 
FundraisingHelping find and execute fundraising opportunities, Helping promote lifesaver fund  recipients                                             
Special Events (preparation)Help locate and organize special events. This may include contacting and communicating with other businesses 
Special Events (set up-day of)Manning booths, talking with the public about WellPet, overseeing games, raffles, donations, etc 
 
Volunteers are asked to work in 2 hour shifts with a minimum of 4 hours a month to stay active.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
 
Volunteers should be people who:
 
  • Believe in the WellPet mission 
  • Follow the dress code
  • Commit to 4 hours of volunteer time a month
  • Show up on time and ready to work at your scheduled “shift”
  • Conduct yourself as a professional
  • Be self-directed in what tasks you need to accomplish
  • Ask questions if there is a task you don’t understand
  • Work with your shift lead/surgery lead/customer service contact to complete “as needed” tasks
  • Show respect to your “co workers”, patients and owners
  • Report any concerns to the office manager or volunteer coordinators
 
Prior to volunteering, interested parties must attend a 1 hour orientation and fill out a volunteer application.
